Secondly, a bouquet of roses arrived at the door on Day 2 for no specific reason. On Day 3, the hotel staff brought in 2 glasses of champagne and P gave some crappy excuse that it was part of the bouquet package.
Then the serious part came. P started talking about our relationship and future together, how we have to cut down on our quarrels and talk through issues instead of blowing our tops, etc etc. And he finally got down on his knees and proposed. Of course I said YES!
*****
I thought it might be interesting to put in chronological order pictures of our courtship together over the years.
2005 @ Alley Bar, the day we got together
2006 @ Bangkok, our first overseas trip together
2007 @ Lynn's place for Christmas
2008 @ Hakone, Japan
2009 @ Morton's celebrating my 30th bday
2010 @ Kay & WH's wedding
2011 @ E1 & Tyre's wedding
2012 @ Bobby Chinh's restaurant in HCMC, minutes before the proposal
What comes next? Obviously, the wedding...but P and I have not really discussed it in detail ever since we got back. I guess we'll take it nice and slow, though I'm subconsciously slipping into planning mode already!
